After
graduation I started working immediately at NES as a Junior
Clerk delivering interoffice mail. Shortly afterwards, the
company started an aid-to-education program. I enrolled at
Nashville State Technical Institute where I obtained an
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. After
completing this degree, I went to the University of Tennessee at
Nashville and obtained a BS degree in Engineering (Electrical).
A few years later I obtained a MBA from Kennedy Western
University. I retired from NES as VP of Power System Operations
in 2012 after 44 years of service. I am married to my high
school sweetheart (49 yrs) from Maplewood HS (Wanda). We have 2
daughters, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. We love
to travel and spend time with family and friends. I am an avid
golfer and also serve on the boards of Dayspring Academy and
Church of The Firstborn. |
