Hugh B. "Pete" Barnett Jr., age 80 of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Signature Healthcare in Madison. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of the late Hugh B. Barnett Sr. and Estelle Barnett. He graduated class of 1957 from Madison High School. Pete married the love of his life, Faye, June 11, 1960, and together they shared 57 wonderful years together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. Pete was employed by McClean Trucking. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Daniel Barnett, and sister, Betty Barnett Williams. He is survived by his wife, Faye Barnett; children, Angela Faye Barnett Segroves and Jeffrey Scott "Scotty" (Claire) Barnett; grandchildren, Devin (Kelsey) McKenzie, Aleia Segroves, Jacob Segroves, Emily Barnett, and Garrett Barnett; great grandchildren, Brailyn McKenzie and Olivia McKenzie; siblings, Nancy Barnett (Raymond) Russell, Peggy Barnett (Dean) Tedford, Diana Barnett (Jerry) Owens, Elaine Barnett Morgan, Beverly Barnett Walker, and Charles Barnett, and several other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Weeks officiating. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Greg Lee, Robert E. Lee, Dean Carroll, Jock G. Owens, Chuck Barnett, and Samuel A. Colbert.
