Obituary

Brenda Binkley. Our beloved Brenda Elaine Binkley, passed into the spirit world peacefully at home, at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2003. Born November 8, 1969. Brenda was in the first kindergarten class held at Sumner Academy in Gallatin. She attended Pioneer Christian Academy and she was in the first graduating class at Hunters Lane High School, and graduated from Aquinas College in 1995. She worked at General Hospital and St. Thomas as a Registered Nurse. She had a dance studio called In The Spot Light, where she taught children dancing and she was also owner of a costume shop. Preceded in death by her father, C. Cody Binkley in 1976; grandparents, Frank and LeRue Binkley; grandfather, Jim; and step grandmother, Dorothy McClure. She is survived by her mother, Delores McClure Binkley Hitchcock; stepfather, K. Russ Hitchcock; sister, Charlotte Binkley (Robert) Drake, step brothers, Dan and Jeff Hitchcock; aunts and uncles, Jane (Tony) Carpenter, Ann (Ed) Jordan and James (Belinda) McClure; aunt, Carol Binkley Finney; grandmother, Etta McClure Smith; niece and nephews, Kenny Carpenter, Logan and Houston McClure, Charles and Kathy Finney; devoted friends, Dr. Randy Richards and Bruce Butler; and her beloved dog, Love Angel. Her remains are at Hendersonville Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends 4 p.m. til 8 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2003 and 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2003. Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Hendersonville Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Hammonds officiating. Pallbearers: family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers: her St. Thomas nursing friends and co-workers. Interment will be at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
