James E. Boyd, 85, passed away August 10, 2017. Born May 23, 1932 in Nashville, he is preceded in death by his parents Bernice Lee and Robbie Lee Boyd; wife, June Marie Boyd and daughter, Jennifer Lee Graves. An educator for 38 years in Nashville schools, and a Greyhound Bus driver during his summer breaks, he was a member of Edgefield Baptist Church, Inglewood Baptist Church, Alta Loma Baptist Church, Panama City First Baptist Church and Pleasant View Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Michael Allen Boyd of Florida and son-in-law, Jim Graves of Clarksville, Tennessee. A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Monday, August 14, 2017 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastors Jerry Jeter and Jim Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Boyd at visitation Sunday, August 13, 2017 afternoon from 4:00-8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
