Obituary

William Thomas CALLAWAY JR. July 20, 2006 Of Alexandria, VA and Goodlettsville, TN, passed into Heaven on Thursday, July 20, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Melba Callaway; a daughter, Dawn Callaway Jeffries and her husband Ross; stepchildren, Mellonie Saunders, Edward K. Boling and Barry Boling, brothers, Walter and John Callaway and sisters, Pam Cartwright and Alma Curtis; grandchildren, Rebecca, Mason, Ross, Jane, Blair, Kayla and Hannah. Tom achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Vanderbilt, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Corpus Christie. He served his country as a Navy pilot from 1959 to 1967. Tom presently serves as Vice President fin Government Sales for Surge Suppress on International, providing copies of God Word to people throughout the world. His travels on behalf of the Gideons took him to the The Netherlands, Cameroon, Italy, Norway, Germany and Australia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Alexandria, VA and a former member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Nashville. He also served on the founding board of directors of Davidson Academy. Tom loved God, his family and a host of friends, and will be missed by all. A Memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Chapel, 1150 Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072 on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 2 p.m..
