Obituary

Tammy “Sissy” Nanette Capps Chambers arrived on March 17, 1969 in Nashville, Tennessee. Passed on to be with the Lord on March 20, 2017. She was the daughter of Vicki Morris and James “Jimmy” Capps (Linda Capps). Tammy was a Christian woman that walked, talked, and loved God and her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Sissy graduated from Madison High School in Madison, Tennessee. She was employed by the State of Tennessee at the Clover Bottom Developmental Center in Nashville for 26 years before retiring due to her illness. Tammy took pride in her job and gained respect and friendship with many of her co-workers. There was never a day without her laughter and a smile. Tammy was loved by many. Sissy is preceded in death by her brother Casey Capps. Sissy leaves to cherish her memory; daughter Chelsea, sons Corey, Cody, and extended son Justin all from Old Hickory, Tennessee. Sissy is also survived by her mother Vicki Morris, father James “Jimmy” (Linda) Capps; brothers Tim (Rachel) Capps and Jeremy Gourley. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren Braeden, Icle, Sadie, and Skyler and a host of relatives and close friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 4-8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 1pm with visitation beginning at 11am. Entombment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
