Gena Ann Carr of Hendersonville, TN, age 64, Devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Gena Carr went to join her mother and father on Sunday, March 6, 2022. She was born on June 19, 1958. She attended Madison High School where she enjoyed playing basketball and softball as a Madison Ram graduating in the class of 1976. She attended MTSU for several semesters but ended up enjoying working at Opryland USA more. Little did she know that she would be starting her career for life working in the restaurant industry. She worked at Opryland for 8+ years and made many lifelong friends there learning the restaurant business. From there she went to work for Wendy’s Restaurants and never looked back. In 2021 she celebrated 40 years with the Wendy’s organization. During her tenure she made too many memories and friends to count! Gena’s biggest treasure was loving on her nieces, nephews, great nephew, and niece, and Jaye T. She was always the “Fun Aunt” and loved to shower them all with whatever made them happy! Gena Carr was preceded in death by her beloved parents Harold Gene Carr and Joyce Ann Carr. She is survived by her brothers, T. Greer Carr (Paige) and Gregory V. Carr (Julie). Their Children, Zachary Carr (Samantha), Evan Carr (Morgan), Mitchell Carr, Alexandra Carr, Tanner Carr and Nicholas Carr (Ashlye). She was an exceptional Great Aunt to Beckham and Josie Carr and she will be greatly missed. Services to be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with visitation on Wednesday from 4pm - 7pm, Thursday from 12 noon -2 pm with a graveside service to follow. Her Wendy’s family will serve as the Pallbearers and the Honorary Pallbearers will be her 5 nephews and Jaye T. Darden.
