CARR, Joyce Ann (Greer) Madison, TN --
Age 67 Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Carr went
home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 10, 2003. She was
born March 30, 1935. She was a lifelong Member of Grace Baptist
Church and a 26 year Employee of Metro Public Schools. She was
preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold E. (Gene) Carr; her
parents, Charles and Rosa Greer; a brother, John David Greer Sr. She
is survived by her daughter, Gena A. Carr; sons, T. Greer Carr
(Paige) and Greg Carr (Julie); six grandchildren, Zachary Carr, Evan
Carr, Mitchell Carr, Alex Carr, Tanner Carr and Nicholas Carr; two
sisters, Evelyn Johnson and Dorothy Smith (B.C.); one brother,
Charles Greer (Kitty) all of Nashville; brother-in-law, Otto Carr
(Jewel); a host of nieces, nephews and life long friends. Services 2
p.m., Monday, January 13, 2003 from the Chapel of Spring Hill
Funeral Home with Pastor Andre' Dugger and Dr. Fred E.A. Johnson
officiating. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary
Pallbearers are the Joy Sunday School Class of Grace Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends Sunday from 12 noon til 4 p.m. and 6 til 8 p.m. In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Church
Mission Fund, 1510 Old Hickory Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37207.
