Obituary

Roger D. Carter, 51 of Belfair, Washington, died at 4:00 AM, Saturday, December 13, 2014 at his Belfair home. He was born January 17, 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee, to James and Evelyn Carter. He was married to Michelle Carter on October 10, 1992 and she lives in their Belfair home. Roger is survived by his wife and two daughters, Miranda Carter, 19 and Nicole Carter, 18 who live in Belfair. Roger is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Gloria, Angie, Jack and James. He also has many nieces and nephews in Washington, Tennessee and Alabama. Roger was also very close with his in-laws in Washington State. Roger’s mother, Evelyn, father, James, brother Ray Bratcher and many of his close friends preceded him in is death. Roger spent his life living in Tennessee, Alabama and Washington. He loved living in the south and spending time with his family and friends. Some of his most cherished times were fishing on the river and vacationing at Gulf Shores. He had great love for his childhood friends from Nashville and spoke of them often. Roger loved music, singing, fishing and martial arts. Roger was a loyal and devoted family man. He worked as an HVAC mechanic his entire life. Roger always put his family first and did everything in his power to provide for them and make them happy. He was very proud of his girls and all that they had accomplished. The funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
