Jessie Edward Cheatham, Jr., age 73, of McDonough, GA passed away July 21, 2016. Jessie was born in St. Louis, MO the son of the late Lela Louise Crosslin and Jessie Edward Cheatham, Sr. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Jessie enjoyed spending time with friends and family, loving children, joking around, The Tennessee Volunteers and traveling to Florida and Gatlinburg. Survivors are his wife, Karen Cheatham of McDonough; son, Mark Cheatham (Deanna) of Locust Grove; step daughter, Kristi French; granddaughter, Lola Cheatham of Locust Grove; siblings, Norma Pecci (Martin) of Cataula, and Jeff Cheatham (Marilyn) of Columbus; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that loved him. A memorial service for Jessie will be on Sunday, July 24, 2016 – 3:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor David Moody officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
