CONNER, SR., William Dewayne "Bill" 74
of Madison, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family
on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Mr. Conner was born on February 22, 1939
in Madison, TN to the late Harvey Thomas, Sr. and Sarah Alice Myers
Conner. He enjoyed spending time on his farm with his various
animals and working in his garden. He enjoyed hunting deer, turkey,
rabbit and especially coons, with his coon-dog, Old Trailer. He also
coached Little League Baseball and Football in the Madison area for
12 years. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived
by his loving wife of 53 years, Jacqueline P. Conner; son, Chip
(Michelle) Conner; daughter, Cherie Conner; brother, Tom Conner,
Jr.; sisters, Louise Compton, Nell Shelhorn and Deborah Medford;
grandchildren, William Christian and Abigail Grace Conner. A
Celebration of Mr. Conner's life will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home,
with Norman Slate and Drason Beasley. Interment with military honors
will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive
friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, May 27th, and from 12
p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, at Spring Hill Funeral Home. In lieu
