Obituary

Requiem high mass for Jerry Wayne Davis, 17, of 337 Thelma St. Madison, automobile accident victim, was today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. George Rohling, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Madison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The youth, who was to graduate from Madison High School next Thursday, was killed Wednesday night in a two-car collision on Gallatin Road near Old Hickory Boulevard. A native of Madison, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Vester R. Davis. His father is owner of Rayon City Waterworks, His mother is the former Miss Iside Pieragnoli. Young Davis as a member of the Key Club and the tennis team at Madison High. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s. Other survivors are a sister, Donna Davis, Madison; a brother, David Michael Davis, Madison; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Theresa Pieragnoli., Florence, Italy. Active pallbearers were Mickey Davis, Bill Davis. Leonard Huddleston, Mike Homes, Joe Dixon and John Dismukes. Honorary pallbearers were members of the graduating class of Madison High School.
