Steven "Steve" Wayne Denton, 71 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, July 20, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Steve was born Friday, January 21, 1949, in Madison, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Fred and Katherine (Johnston) Denton. Steve was a loving son, husband, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He attended Antioch Church of Christ for many years and was very faithful. He loved walking horses, attending horse shows, and participating in the showing of the horses. Steve and Jean were known to be a loving couple who were always at each others side. He was known for his giving heart, always helping and serving others when he knew there was a need. Steve was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed. Steve is survived by, Wife Jean Denton; Special Cousin, Rita Judge; Special Nephews, Lamar and Kevin Smith; Special Friend, Jimmy Lewis; and A host of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and special friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. The family requests that masks be worn and social distancing is observed due to Covid19. Due To Covid19, Private Family Services for Steve Denton will be held Thursday, July 23, 2020 with Bros.
