Robert Wayne Dutton, Sr. of Hendersonville, TN., passed away on September 12, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert William Dutton and Martha Louise Dutton; and two furry, four-legged companions, Daisy and Gus. He is survived by his loving wife of over 52 years, Laura F. Dutton; daughter, Cynthia F. (Bryan) Dupree; son, Robert Wayne (Tina) Dutton, Jr; bonus children, Christa and Clif Dennison; sisters, Nancy (David) Donaldson, Connie Dutton; grandchildren, Kayla (Adam) Rude, Tucker (Taylor Turnmire) Dutton, Lari Dupree, Landry Dupree, Riley Knight; great-grandchildren, Finley Boyce, Cullen Rude; and furry, four-legged companion, Maddie. Wayne was a devoted member of Long Hollow Baptist Church for many years. He was strong in his faith and enjoyed quality time with his family. Wayne worked in the printing business for about 45 years. He enjoyed his part time jobs as an umpire and referee, and other roles with the Hendersonville Parks Department for about 40 years. During his free time, he played golf and traveled with his wife. Down time included relaxing with his doggies and looking over the thousands of pictures that he took. Wayne was a generous, kind and loving person. He touched the lives of many in the community and will truly be missed. Active pallbearers include Tucker Dutton, Adam Rude, Bryan Dupree, Clif Dennison, David LeMarbre, Ed Miles and Bill Walsh. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Alive Hospice.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 4pm to 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at noon with an hour of visitation prior. Burial to follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
