HARGIS,
Johnny W. Age 74 of Madison, passed away on November 7, 2011. He was
a member of the Masons, Shriners, Civitan Club, Boy Scout Leader,
Eagle Scout, Civil Defense, VFW (Lifetime Member), American Legion
(Lifetime Member), First Responders, and Inglewood-Madison Fire and
Police. He is preceded in death by parents; brother, Jackie Hargis;
and first wife, Patsy of 42 years. He is survived by his loving wife
of 11 years, Gayle Hargis; sons, Jeffrey (Dana) Hargis, John "Kip"
(Andrea) Hargis and Joey (Amanda) Hargis; sister, Sue (Johnny)
Jones; 13 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Active
Pallbearers will be John Rice, Ronnie Smith, Morris Pate, Neil
Hargis, Keith Hargis, Joey Mount, Stephen Duchach and Jeffrey Mount.
Honorary Pallbearers will be John Allen, Doug Hardcastle, Michael
Pardue, and his co-workers at Hardcastle Construction, and Nashville
Metro Codes Department. The family would like to express a special
thanks to the fourth floor nurses at Skyline and to the nurses at
Alive Hospice Madison Campus. In lieu of flowers, the family asks
that memorial contributions be made to the Shriners' Hospital for
Children or to Matthews Memorial United Methodist Church. A
visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10th from 2-4 p.m. and
6-8 p.m., also on Friday, November 11th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A
funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11
a.m., in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, with entombment to
follow in Serenity Chapel Mausoleum in SPRING HILL FUNERAL HOME AND
