Susan Elizabeth (Hinkle) Lata, age 57 of Madison passed away December 23, 2014. Ms. Lata was born on September 8, 1957 to the late Dwight and Jean Hinkle. Susan was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a 1975 graduate of Madison High School; a Registered Nurse for over 30 years working at many hospitals in Critical Care in the Nashville area; she was incredibly proud of her work and touched many lives through her care of patients and teaching many young nurses both on the job and at Tennessee Tech University. She is survived by her children, Miranda (Bill) Cassada and Seth Lata; grandchildren, Mindy, Gabrielle and Bella; and siblings, Sid (Andrea) Hinkle and Kaffee Hemp. A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held on Monday, December 29th at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Allan Legard officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday and Sunday from 12-8 P.M. and Monday from 9 A.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and Caris Hospice.
