Sterlin Ray Hollis, age 55, passed away peacefully on July 24th 2022, at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford hospital in Murfreesboro TN. He was born October 24 1966 to James Hollis and Betty Baugh (Hunley) and was the youngest of 5 siblings. He was a loving father of 3 and grandfather(Papa Bear) of 6. He was the uncle that was always there and available for the family. ALWAYS. He was a treasured confidant and friend to many. He was an accomplished Singer and Songwriter who spent most of his musical career in the southern gospel group “The Believers Quartet.” His love for Gospel music was immense. Sterlin is survived by his children Joshua, Rachel and Whitney; 6 grandchildren; Sister Michele Hunley; partner Sam DeGeorge and many, many more family members and friends. He was proceeded in Death by his mother, father, and stepfather Betty, James, and Robert, brothers and sisters Shelia, Sammy, Sherry and Scott. Also, by his niece and nephew Stacey and Dylan. Sterlin will especially be remembered for his kindness and inclusiveness for every person he met. He saw value in every single person. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 30th at 2 p.m. at Three Oaks Church in Gallatin TN.
