Obituary

Carter "Corky" Alexander Howard, age 71, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born July 20th 1949. Survived by his wife of 50 years; Pamela C. Howard, daughter Mitsi (Keith) Lindsay, daughter Anita (Travis) Simpson. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Cole Simpson, Alli Simpson, and Charlie Lindsay. Additionally, Carter always considered his nephews, niece, & life-long friends as family. Preceded in death by his mother, Jan Howard; his brothers, Jimmy Howard and David Howard. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger in the 101st Division “Screaming Eagles.” He worked at the County Court Clerks Office in Nashville. Soon thereafter, he moved into Real Estate Management creating his own successful business, The Carter Company, Inc. He often said that The Carter Company, Inc. provided for his family for over 35 years. Carter sat on numerous boards of professional and not-for-profit organizations. He faithfully served his church community and his fellow man. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the sun set while sitting by the campfire. Graveside services for Carter will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Noon on the grounds of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216.
