James T. Johnson was born on May 4, 1939, and passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 81. He is the son of the late Thomas and Vada Meadors Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Mildred "Sue" Johnson, daughters Wanda (Dave) Cummings, and Connie (Paul) Shanes. Grandchildren Jacob Sealey, Joshua Sealey, Shaunda Sealey, Austin and Autumn Cummings, Dakota Shanes, and Camryn Shanes, great-grandchildren Jackson and Abbie Gordon. James was a member of the McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church. He was self-employed as a Taxidermist for over 50 years. He served in the US Army. He was an avid sportsman who loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He taught his children and grandchildren to hunt, fish, and have a great respect for animals and the outdoors.
