Obituary

Donald Elmore Mundy, Cedar Hill, TN. Age 59, tragically passed away and went to be with our Lord on December 20, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, William E Mundy and Willie Mae Mundy; and sister, Patricia Mundy Lazenby. Don leaves his best friend and loving wife of 30 years, Karen Evans Mundy; his brother, Charles Ray Mundy; sister in law, Marcia Foster Mundy; nephews, Russell and Lee Mundy; his sister, Betty Jo Mundy Smith; and many more beloved nephews; nieces; great nephews; and great nieces. Don graduated from Madison High School and attended MTSU and UT Knoxville. He worked for many years in his family's business, Mundy Builders and most recently as partner with his wife in Mundy Quarter Horses. Don deeply loved his wife, family and their puppy children, Mattie and Carley. He was a kind soul who always made people laugh and was always upbeat with a smile on his face. Don will be deeply missed by everyone that had the fortune to know him. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 23 at Mount Olivet Chapel in Nashville, TN. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 22, 4pm.-8p.m. and 10 a.m. the morning of the service.
