Steven D. Norris, age 72, passed away on February 25, 2022. He was born in Ames, Iowa on June 22, 1949. Steve graduated from Madison High School and later was drafted, serving in the army for 4 years during the Vietnam War. Steve and Charlotte were married for 40 years. He enjoyed going to the beach with his family. He had a passion for collecting guns and enjoyed staying home and watching a good movie with his wife. He was affectionately known by his grandkids as Gampi. Steve worked for the TN Dept of Transportation for over 30 years before retiring in 2012. He is preceded in death by father, Robert E. Norris; mother, Corrine H. Norris; brother, David C. Norris; sister, Mary Kay Barrass. Steve is survived by his wife of 40 years Charlotte Norris; daughters, Cheryl (Shannon) Webb, Jennifer (John) Solecki; sister, Tawnie (Vic) Campbell; sister-in-law, Betsy Norris; grandkids, Brycen, Kenzlea, Knox and Corrine; nephews, Shane Norris, and Wirth Campbell; niece, Meredith Campbell. Memorial service will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on March 19, 2022, at 1 p.m. Visitation with friends and family will be held on Friday, March 18 from 4-7 p.m. and again on Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
