Obituary

Linda Frances Nunally Moore, Gallatin - Age 74, passed from this life on Sunday, March 4 after a short illness. She was married for over 50 years to the late Leslie Leon Moore. She is the mother of Paige (Kevin) Collier and Shane Moore; grandmother of Jacob, Chloe, Gracie, Noah & Lucas Leon Collier. She is the daughter of the late Maj. Gen. Van D & Frances Nunally, Jr. She is also survived by sister, Ann (David) Nunally Gaines. Mrs. Moore spent the last several years living in the famed Fairvue mansion built in 1832 and renovated by Mr. & Mrs. Moore. She loved animals, gardening, travel, fashion and being outdoors. Linda and Leon were members of the Madison Church of Christ for many years. After Leon’s death in 2012, Linda became active in Northfield Church a little closer to home where she made many close friends. Linda was also a member of the Fairvue Plantation Ladies Historical Society hosting several events in her home to support local charities. Most of all Linda loved her family, and she especially loved her 5 grandchildren. The family will be receiving visitors 4-8 PM Thursday and 1-2 PM Friday at NorthField Church, 2100 Gallatin Pike, Gallatin, TN. Mrs. Moore's funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 9, 2018 at the NorthField Church with Tom Haddon officiating. Pallbearers include Jacob Collier, Noah Collier, Joe Godfrey, Greg Dew, Sam Dew, and Lucas Collier. Mrs. Moore will then be laid to rest at Crestview Memory Gardens in Gallatin beside her beloved Leon. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Safe Place for Animals www.safeplaceforanimals.com.
