Gayle B. Patterson, age 64 passed away on September 11, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jere and Dorothy Patterson. Gayle is survived by her sisters, Peggy Patterson, Terry Patterson; nieces and nephews, David Lee Foster, Jere Everett Lawhorn and great nieces and nephews, Whityne Foster, John David Foster, Jackson Thomas Foster and Carmen Jewel Lawhorn. Visitation will be held at the Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Road on Friday from 1PM until the time of her service at 2PM. In 1987 Gayle attended the Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN where she earned her Masters of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. For many years Gayle worked as a freelance reporter and photographer of local news events in Madison, Old Hickory, Goodlettsville and surrounding communities. She reported on everything from a Presidential visit to 100th birthday parties. Her main focus was on positive events involving children, schools, civic and community activities. Throughout the years, Gayle also worked for Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, Metropolitan School Board, BETA Corporation, U.S. Treasury Department, Kelly Services, General Services and Products, Inc. and AT&T. She also volunteered with many community organizations.
