Kathy Lynn Powers Warren, age 60, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Preceded in death by her father, Tommy Paul Powers Sr., and son, Paul Jackson Warren. Kathy is survived by her husband of 41 years, John Paul Warren, mother, Martha Ann Powers (Weston), daughter, Lorie Lynn Drake (Jordan), sisters; Beverly Biles (James), Mary Ruch (Richard), Wanda Powers, brother, Tommy Paul Powers Jr., granddaughter, Kennedy Lynn Drake, nieces; Amy Ross (Jamie), Angela King and great-niece, Autumn King. Kathy is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Kathy was born on October 12, 1956 in Nashville, TN. She retired from Ellis Middle School in Hendersonville where she worked as the Office Administrator. Kathy was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord and was a member of Community Church of Hendersonville. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who adored her granddaughter Kennedy. Kathy had an infectious laugh and made everyone’s day better. She will be dearly missed by her family and by all who knew her. A Life Celebration Service for Kathy will be held at Community Church of Hendersonville, 381 W. Main Street in Hendersonville, on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00PM, officiated by Pastor Doug Varnado. Visitation will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 4:00PM-8:00PM, and again on Friday, one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Paul Warren Memorial Fund at First Tee of Middle Tennessee, 400 Franklin Road, Franklin, TN 37069.
