Maxine Gale Quesenberry Sims, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on August 31, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 77. She was born on October 10, 1945 in Palm Beach, Florida, to her loving parents Charles and Dorothy Quesenberry and resided in Hendersonville, Tennessee for most of her life. Maxine is survived by her two children, Brian Stubblefield and Lorra Hadley, who were a source of immense pride and joy in her life. She was a dedicated and loving grandmother, and her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Quesenberry, who was her sibling, dear friend, and confidant. Their bond was a testament to the importance of family and the strength of their connection. Maxine’s family was the center of her world, and her unconditional love and support knew no bounds. Maxine is now reunited with her late husband Curtis Sims, who she married in 1997. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment and they created many cherished memories together, which can be found in the countless photos Maxine has saved and the family now enjoys. Maxine’s faith was an integral part of her life. She was a devout Catholic who found solace, inspiration, and community in her church. Her unwavering faith was a guiding light that provided her with comfort and purpose throughout her life. In addition to her commitment to religion, Maxine was steadfast in her working life as well. For over three decades, Maxine dedicated herself to her career as a legal secretary for Rutherford, Demarco, and White. Her commitment to her work was unwavering, and she was highly respected for her professionalism and dedication. Maxine’s colleagues and clients benefited from her expertise and warm-heartedness. In her later years, Maxine chose to share her warmth and kindness with the residents of Park Place Retirement Home by working part-time. She brought joy and companionship to those in their golden years, making a meaningful impact on their lives. Maxine was a bastion of strength to her family, who all knew that she could be counted on for love, gentleness, and advice. She will always be remembered for her loving and wonderful nature. She had an extraordinary ability to touch the lives of those around her with her kindness and warmth, and the swell of support for her in her last days was a testament to that. Maxine was dearly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her positive impact on the lives of her family and friends is immeasurable.
