Obituary

(JoAnne Saverio) BOWLIN, Rev. JoAnne "Jody" Out of State -- Age 60, of Centre, Alexis Community, AL passed away Tuesday Jan. 24th, 2006 in Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with Revs. Bill Gandy and David Barnhart officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ebenezer Building Fund or Library, Fairview United Methodist Church of Cherokee Baptist Hospice. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Jack Bowlin; son, Travis Wayne Sacchinelli, Cedar Bluff; stepchildren, Ronald (Teresa) Bowlin, Nashville, Gary Wayne Bowlin, Nashville, Donna Sherie Stevers, CA; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by, William Lee and Michael Dwayne Bowlin. Rev. Bowlin was a native of Emory, GA, the daughter of the late Charles Francis and Jeanne Roberts Saverio. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She was pastor of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and Hebron United Methodist Church. She retired from Nashville-Metro Police Department, 1985 with rank of Lieutant. Pallbearers include, Billy Joe Baker, Walt Barney, Jimmy Caruthers, Richard Lindsey, Terry Hawkin, Johnny Williams, Bob White, and Keith Gossett. Special Honorary Pallbearers, Billy Godfrey, Hobart Barnes, Rich Lindsey, Burl Williams, Wallace Cothran, Lane Gilbert, Billy Studdard, David Pruett, Ed Teal, Frankie Lewis, Nick McMichen, Billy Barnes, Oliver Wilkie, Members of Ebenezer and Hebron and Fairview United Methodist Churches.
