Obituary

Stanley Ray Thomas Sr, 69, of Old Hickory, passed away April 24, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Leon Thomas and Patty Ann Hussey Thomas; sisters: Lynda Riddle and Deborah Thomas. He is survived by his stepbrothers: Dale Harper (Suzanne), Quinnie Harper (Betty); sons: Ray Thomas Jr (Torrie), Ryan Thomas (Mandy), and Michael Thomas (Cathrine); grandchildren: Danielle, Delacie, Jesse, Kierra, Chelsea, Chad, Haven, Ashlyn, Hattie, Harper, Brianna, Chase; great-grandchildren: Callie Rae, Raelan Marie, Crimson Elizabeth; and dog: King David. Stan was born January 18, 1954. He graduated from Madison High School in 1972 and went to work for the family business, Print Quick, from 1972-2012, where he worked his way up to president of the company. He was proud of his Cherokee Indian heritage and loved collecting anything to do with it. He also loved his dog, King David, who went everywhere with him. Stan adored his church and church family, and since his retirement, "Starbucks Stan" devoted a lot of his time volunteering and serving at his church, where he was loved and cherished by staff and attendees. His dedication to God was also admired and followed by his loving children, whom he loved deeply, along with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at his church, Madison First Baptist, 719 Gallatin Road South, Madison, TN 37115, Saturday, April 29th, from 2pm until the time of the Memorial service at 3pm, Brother Dennis Vaughan officiating. Flowers can be received at 1pm on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be sent to his church at www.madisonfirst.org, in memory of Stan Thomas.
