Donna Lynn Watts Tyler went home to be with Jesus on January 2, 2021 at the age of 55. She is survived by her pride and joy–her two sons Harley Nicholas Tyler-Neal and Elijah Scout. Tyler-Neal, her father, Michael Tyler, her stepdaughter, Karissa (Justin) Sims, her two aunts who were her mother figures after the passing of her mother, Janice “Whitey” (Robert “PeeWee”) Smith and Janet “Pinky” (Billy) Evans, and her cousins Shannon Evans and Michael (Crystal) Smith. Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Ann Nicholson Tyler and her grandparents, Ershel Belton “Nick” Nicholson and Annie Esther Nicholson. She had many kids over the years who always referred to her as Mom or Mom #2. Three of these kids who were very close to her are her future daughter-in-law, Kayle Coakley and the boys’ lifelong best friends, Taylor Sexton and Christian Furlow, who were more like sons to Donna. Donna always took care of these kids and treated them as if they were her own. She also leaves behind her best friend, Andrea Colgate, who was more like a sister to Donna. She leaves a void in the heart of many friends and extended family who have lost such an awesome person. In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me has been established to assist her boys with any ongoing expenses. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at a later date due to COVID-19 concerns. The family will release details when group gatherings are safe.
