Linda West Wittman. She will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Most of all she loved her family and to bring people together. She was a natural leader, she had a passion for academia that she shared with others. In 1958 she was crowned Miss Nashville, she was always an elegant lady, passionate about clothing, fashion and always wearing her lipstick. Linda graduated from Vanderbilt University. She spent her professional life teaching Spanish. She had a love of language and also spoke fluent German. She was a founding member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority Chapter. She remained active thorough her whole life she was a member of Brandywine Women’s Club and enjoyed traveling the world in her free time. She also enjoyed following intricate recipes that became wonderful dinners. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Herb Wittmann; daughter Kammi (Gary) Grimes; granddaughter Kayla Grimes, cousin Larry (Kathryn) Keaton. Gathering of family and friends Monday November 22, 2021 from 1:00 -2:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. Entombment following Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
